Luncheon in Memory of Lisa Tam

Lisa also fractured her leg in November and was recovering at home after an emergency surgery. At the same time the cancer was spreading and a high risk surgery was no longer an option. In November Lisa was diagnosed with brain metastases while she enjoyed her final days at home gathered with her family, rather than being in a hospice facility.

Lisa was a board member of the Asian American Real Estate Association, since it changed its name in 2003, and one of the first board members of Chinese American Real Estate Association founded in 1993 . She was one of the first to greet guests at the registration table at our events, and worked tirelessly behind the scenes on programs, events, and so many details for our association. Lisa volunteered to serve on the board of various associations in Houston to serve the Asian community in addition to being a Realtor herself.

Lisa’s cheerful presence, friendship, and service will be missed by our friends, family, community, and association.
