BOARD PRESIDENT

Dorothy Yee

A Native Houstonian, Dorothy Yee was born and raised here in Houston, Texas. She has always had the drive to succeed and to be the best. Realizing that real estate was a very rewarding field geared towards her desire to help others, Dorothy procured her real estate license in 1988. She quickly started her realtor career at The Prudential Gil and Associates and diligently pursued her goals of achieving knowledge, wealth and recognition. Later, specializing in new home sales, she spent the next fifteen years building a very well-respected and established reputation in Houston working with Newmark Homes and subsequently David Weekley Homes. She is currently at RE/MAX Fine Properties, Fort Bend’s largest brokerage.

Ever the consummate professional , Dorothy won RE/MAX's Top Producer and 100% Club awards plus the Million Dollar Sales Award from the Greater Houston Builders Association. She is very active in the Asian American community, sitting on the Board of Directors and member of the Asian American Real Estate Association and Asian Pacific American Heritage Association. Dorothy is the Chair of the Outreach Committee and member of the Asian American Baptist Church. She also holds membership at the Chinese American Citizens Alliance, Asian Women Empowered and Elected Riverstone Resident Council.

 


VICE PRESIDENT

Thanh Luu

Thanh Luu Le

 

Thanh Luu Le was one of the youngest members when she joined the board of Asian American Real Estate Association in 2005.  Besides, being an active member of AAREA, Thanh is also actively involved in Sunflower Mission and Vietnamese Culture and Science Association.

She has earned recognitions as Leadership Award and Officer of the Year form Houston Asian Jaycees (2005)Congressional Recognition for Outstanding Young Community Leader by Sheila Jackson Lee in Houston (2004),Outstanding Volunteer of the Year (2004 & 2003) at JPM Chase, Outstanding APA of the Year (2004) at the Organization of Chinese Americans, NAVASA Outstanding Young Community Leader Award recipient (2004) at the NAVASA banquet, Outstanding Member of the Year (2003) at the Vietnamese Culture and Science Association, and Leadership Scholarship from YMCA International to join a work camp to build a school in the rural area in Dong Thap Muoi, Viet Nam (2000).

Thanh graduated from University of Houston with a Bachelor degree in Management Information System, and Regis University with a Master degree in Marketing and Management. Thanh is currently a Managing Director of Crown ID Solutions.

Mike Wong is a full time professional agent with Keller Williams Realty. . Experienced agent, experienced investor, exceptional service. Mike specializes in commercial real estate, residential sales and leasing, as well as working with investors.

Mike is a product of Fort Bend schools and has been a resident of Sugar Land for 29 years. He has a Bachelor of Architecture degree and Construction Management degree from the University of Houston.

Mike is a member of the HAR Political Advisory Leadership Group, Asian American Real Estate Association Board of Directors Member. A community volunteer and contributor, and founding member of Caring Realtors to help fellow associates in need.

Alex Sung is a New Home Sales Professional.   With almost 20 years in sales, Alex has been able to excel in his career holding positions with companies that are leaders in their perspective industries.  Having worked for Meritage Homes, Lennar and Beazer Homes he brings his experience in a prominent segment of our industry.  Prior to Beazer, Alex’s career in was a culmination of sales and management leadership roles with Hilton Hotels and Marriott Hotels International.  In this capacity, Alex has become well versed in doing business with large corporations such as Chevron, Hess and ExxonMobil that exceeded multi-million dollars in annual production goals.  Alex’s reputation with his clientele reflects his passion of working with people, built on trust, integrity and hard work.  Alex is firmly rooted in Houston Texas for over 20 years with his wife and 3 boys.

Dianne Moore

Dianne Moore is a leader in the real estate industry, including roles such as the Managing Broker of United Real Estate - Houston, Broker-Owner of URHome Real Estate, panel member of two Texas Association of Realtors' committees, WCR Fort Bend 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year, Chairman of the Fort Bend Branch of the Houston Association of Realtors, and approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission to teach MCE and pre-licensing courses. Her special strengths include strong mentoring, training and public-speaking skills, specializing in negotiations, technology, Internet marketing and communication.

Tasha Tran

Tasha Tran is well-regarded in the metropolitan Houston real estate community as an active, involved professional for more than ten years. Recognized for her achievements as “Rookie of the Year” during her first year as a Realtor, Tasha has continued to strive for the heights by consistently taking advantage of learning opportunities. She has utilized her knowledge to the great advantage of her clients as well as her peers.

Currently Tasha is the broker of Transtar Fine Properties. Her clients are so pleased with her representation that she has achieved the top score in each of the 5 areas on the Client Experience Rating surveys submitted to the Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) about her services. Indeed, the qualities of leadership and integrity recognized by her clients are the same that previously won her the prestigious Eagle Award among colleagues earlier in her career.

With experience in many real estate specialties, Tasha can be counted on to provide good advice about a variety of real estate transactions, including (but not limited to): working with foreclosures, selling residential & commercial properties, helping the property owner with an upside-down mortgage, assisting with the sale or purchase of small businesses, and buying new construction properties.

Janet Chan

Janet Chan is a native from Hong Kong,  fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. Janet has been in title business for twelve years and has extensive knowledge of the real estate industry. She has been a proud member, Vice President, Treasurer and Membership Director of the Association throughout the twelve years of involvement. Her mission is to help the association to be recognized by local and national real estate organizations. Janet is proud to be part of the growth and success of Asia American Real Estate Association.

Jackson Chang has been very active in the real estate industry for the past thirty-five years. A native Taiwanese, he is the President of Pan Jackson Company, specializing in commercial and residential construction and development.

 He is well-known in the Asian and Taiwanese communities. As the past President of the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce and Houston Taipei Society, he is currently a Director of the Houston Taipei Society, Asian American Business Council, Asian American Real Estate Association, and Hermann Park Conservancy Advisory Board. Additionally, he serves as a Commissioner in the City of Houston Building and Standards Commission, Advisor in the City of Houston Mayor’s Anti-Gang Office-Juvenile Accountability Court Program, Houston Asian Community Crime Advisory Board and Overseas Compatriot Affairs Commission (Taiwan).

Jessica Chu (NMLS 408640) has been in banking for over 20 years.  Her extensive banking experience includes commercial and construction lending, credit/loan administration, and mortgage banking.  She is currently with Prosperity Bank as Sr. Vice President and has been previously associated with Wells Fargo, Bank of American and Compass Bank (predecessor of BBVA Compass). Jessica has been recognized with numerous awards, including Home Builder Excellence Award, Customer Loyalty Award and Top Producer Awards by the banking institutions that she has been affiliated with.  

Jessica has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations in the Houston Area.  She has also served in various leadership positions in her Church.  

Jessica enjoys meeting people and making new friends in the local community and banking arena. She believes strongly in relationship building with her clients, teammates and referral sources. She also enjoys mentoring and coaching newcomers to the industry as a way of paying forward. Jessica loves life and is thankful for her family and all the blessings that she receives.

A transplant from Mississippi, Dan Goon has immersed himself into the Houston area communities for the past thirty years with his hands-on real estate knowledge and experience.   His gregarious personality, open honesty and solid integrity have made his name so recognized that he was chosen as the Fort Bend HAR 2010 Outstanding Realtor.

Dan started his realtor career by joining Keller Williams Realty-Southwest in 2001-current.  He served on Keller Williams’ Agent Leadership Council, Career Development  Committee and Mentorship Program and received two prestigious Keller Williams Eagle Awards.  As the past President of the Asian American Real Estate Association, Dan has also been Chairman of the HAR Fort Bend Networking and Political Affairs Advisory Leadership.  He is presently the AAREA Program Chairman and Board Member.  In supporting the local community, Dan serves as Cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 18 in Sugar Land.  He received his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Mississippi.

Since his immigration to the U.S. from Canada, Ben Ho has assumed an active real estate role in the Asian community.   Having been raised and educated in Hong Kong, Ben is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.  His negotiation and coordination skills are definite assets when working with investors from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Canada.

In 2006, he joined RE/MAX United and also became Vice-President of International Relations of the Houston Asian Junior Chamber of Commerce.   He is a CCIM candidate (Certified Commercial Investment Member).  Ben is currently owner of Texas Midland Realty, co-founder of Houston Real Property, Director with Hong Kong Association of Houston and Asian American Real Estate Association.  He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.

Born in Vietnam. Ben Huynh made a huge decision to move to Houston in 1980 to  look for good job opportunities.  Carefully researching several options, he was drawn to the real estate market and obtained his real estate license in 1989.  After joining the Champion Real Estate Group, Ben began to build a solid and reliable reputation.  Later he added commercial property accreditation to his residential property skills.  Currently, Ben is an active realtor in Houston.  Ben received his Bachelor's degree in Education in Vietnam.

Paul Lim “the Chinese Cowboy” is a Post Graduate of Brunel University/Henley Management College, London, UK in Business Management (Marketing). He has been involved in sales and marketing for more than 28 years working with European companies. Prior to joining Ashton Woods, he was with Beazer Homes for 5 ½ years.

Paul – Chinese Cowboy is sales counselor for Ashton Woods Homes at Riverstone since 2008. He has been extensively involvement with GHBA and a member of SMC since 2009. He holds designations as Master Certified New Home Sales Professional (MCSP), Certified Marketing Professional (CMP), Certified Aging in-Place Specialist (CAPS). He was awarded the 2010 GHBA Houston’s BEST Salesperson of the Year-on-Site Builder.

He has also served on the Asian American Real Estate Association (AAREA) board of directors since 2006. He was treasurer of the Womens Council of Realtor Fort Bend Chapter 2008.

Delia Nogar

Delia started her real estate career in 2004 with Century 21 Southwest. In the first year, she attained the honor of being Rookie of the year and also Top Producer. She gained valuable experience and abilities in listing and selling resale and new homes thru Houston and its surrounding counties.

Delia is a full time real estate professional with accolades of recognition such as Agent Rookie of the Year (Century 21SW), Top Producer Century 21, Quality Service Certified Award (2007-2008). She is a very proud and pro-active member of HAR, NAR, TAR), ABR, QSC and CDPE.

In 2009 Delia left Century 21 Southwest to start her own company H Prime Properties, LLC.

Lauris Tam 2

Lauris Tam has more than forty years of combined experience in architecture, interior design, and real estate investment and development. He has been the co-founder and Chairman of the Hong Kong Association of Houston for over 20 years and was the founding board member of the Asian Real Estate Association of America. In 1997, as a field producer for CBS KHOU-TV, he produced an Emmy Award winning video named “ Hong Kong: Under The Dragon". Later, he served as President of the Guangdong Association of Texas In 2009.

Lauris' wholly-owned architecture firm, Houston Office Interiors, Inc. was named in the Top 200 Interior Design Firms in the nation for five consecutive years during 1980s. He earned his Master of Urban Planning degree from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Houston.

Lisa Tam 2

Lisa Tam

Lisa Tam was born and raised in Hong Kong and moved to Houston in the early 1960's. Obtaining her Texas Real Estate license in 1982, she began her real estate career at Dynasty Real Estate Company.  After a few years, Lisa moved on to broaden her industry knowledge at AA Realty and Charter Equity, Inc.  Looking for a career shift, Lisa became a New Homes Sales Counselor in 1994.  She gained fifteen years of direct sales experience working for several local homebuilders including: Calais Homes, KB Homes and Riverway Home Builders.  In 2010, Lisa joined Venture Equity where she primarily serves clients with single family properties in the Alief, Sharpstown and Sugar Land neighborhoods.

Since 1990, Lisa has been an avid volunteer and leader in the Chinese community.  Her repertoire includes leadership roles as Secretary of the Association of Chinese-American Organizations of Houston and President and Board of Directors member for the Hong Kong Association, Asian American Real Estate Association and World Kwong Tung Community Association.  A non-stop first-class world traveler, Lisa maintains her roots here in Houston.
